This morning, Doug and I took our usual trip into Los Organos to buy groceries.  Fresh produce comes in on Wednesdays, so everything is relatively fresh on Thursday mornings when they’ve had a chance to unpack everything.  I was also able to buy a 3 kilo tuna in the market.  Often times it isn’t available in small quantities so I often have to settle for the less desirable portion of the fish.

We also went into Mancora early this afternoon to pick up a couple of shipments people have sent us.  One shipment was of medicine which we asked Luis to pick up for us in Lima.  The medication is not readily available here, and would be more expensive it we were to get it here.  This way, Luis picks up our medicine and ships it up to us.

Jim and Danielle also bought a few kilos of coffee in Lima before they left and sent them to us.  We can’t get good fresh coffee beans here in Los Organos.

Koky and his family arrived early this afternoon for a visit of a couple of days.  Shortly after they arrived, the kids and I were in the pool.  Both kids were very comfortable in the water.  Arantxa was like a fish, and her younger sister, Galliana, used swimming aids around her upper arms, but was very comfortable in the water.

We had a great tuna dinner with broccoli and rice.   Arantxa and her mom, Rocio are watching TV.  Galliana is chasing after Stormy.  Koky and Doug are on the terrace talking.  I am updating my blog.

  1. Hope the tsunami waves aren’t headed your way. The news isn’t showing the effects down the coast of South America but it shows energy headed your way. We’re still watching here, but no great waves so far. Take care!
